It says it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I have never been told that a newer version is available unless I clcik 'check now.' although 'Check for updates automatically' is checked, I do not know where it tells me a newer version is available. One allows updates to check automatically. So, if Adobe will not work is there another system to try or what am I doing wrong with Adobe? I have a Mac OS X system with Safari as my browser.Recently Adobe Flash installed an icon in my System Preferences and when I click the icon there are several tabs. I can go to the Adobe download site, I can download the 11.5 version, but when I try to complete the installation it continually 'quits unexpectedly' and continues to do so no matter how often I 'relaunch' or try to 'open' it.

When it still didn't work, Apple said it was an Adobe problem and gave me the number for Adobe tech support, but Adobe Tech Support wants $39.00 to even discuss the problems installing their free download upgrade!!! I called Apple Tech support and paid $19.00 for help in redoing the download process that I had done several times myself.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to accomplish this. com site (to order holiday cards!) I needed to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player from 10.3. I am not a sophisticated computer user, and have relied upon my downloads to access sites which have worked perfectly for the last couple of years until this week when I hit a pop up window saying that in order to be able to access the picaboo. I want to upgrade from Adobe Flash Player version 10.3.183.43 to the 11.5 version for a Mac OS X, Safari Browser.
